Cute girl in Pub: "Erm...do you play any Pink Floyd?" (Coy smile, eyelashes fluttering...you get the drift, right?)

DJ (Part-time) Crowley: "Indeed miss, we do...would you like any particular one? I was just about to play 'Time' in a bit. Want me to play something else?"

Girl: "Um..you know, there's this one song which is about 2 fish colliding in a tank...or is that one by the Scorpions?"

ARGH.....*Facepalm*

Crowley (in cold, Snape-like tone): "I believe it's 'two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl'....I'll consider playing it. Thank you. Have you settled your check, miss?" (Conjures up images of chasing this specimen down Connaught Place corridors with a flamethrower)

Crowley simply H.A.T.E.S. it when this happens!!!

(a) you misquote (and horribly at that) Pink Floyd;
(b) think Scorpions (or some other band) did 'Wish You Were Here'; and
(c) you're a cute woman (ergo, no yelling or excessive cursing....)

There's a place for people like you....it's called Death Row. Please, for the love of God, or whichever entity you believe in, BEGONE.....darken no more the doorway of this pub.....go to QBA, Athena, Pebble Street, Tabula Rasa, Delhi's Devils (barf!).....there's a million places in this city of ours which play "popular music"....if you don't know your rock n roll right, then don't come here....or STFU and quietly get drunk!!

Capisce?!

i know you... but i can't figure out how or remember your name. err, yes, this is therefore a useless post, but every now and then, when it's almost 2am, an urge to ramble can be bigger than the need to shut up.

don't flatter yourself. i had never been to blues till this afternoon where i spent many hours before (and then after) the bell rung to specify that the hours were now to be happy.
something about you is familiar. i still can't put my finger on it though.
but it can't be blues.
try again.

sigh....it's good to know you had a good time at Blues...lovely place that...as for where you know me from...i haven't the foggiest idea...it could be Blues, it could be a courtroom in delhi...it could be a concert or a wedding...couldn't really say...no guesses here..i don't feel particularly bright on Friday mornings :P

i don't remember people from weddings, i'm too busy pretending not to be there, too busy trying to not make eye contact with relatives trying to set me up with random boys.
i hope it's a courtroom that i know you from. that would be thrilling. of course, i've never actually been to a (any) courtroom, but that's a minor technicality.

like I said....I haven't a clue..but I do hope you remember...drop an email if you do :)

I don't believe I put up this blog to explain the minutiae of the english language to unknown people....whether you "seek", "ask" or "demand"...it's all the same to me, really...there is a "contact this person" link on the blogger's profile....feel free to use it :)
